Lockdown will force 40% industries to close: Jayaprakash Narayan - NTv

Foundation for Democratic Reforms General Secretary Dr Jayaprakash Narayan has opined that 40 per cent industries will face closure because of lockdown impact. He stated that 20 crore people in India will lose jobs as per latest estimates of the International Labour Organisation.
Jayaprakash Narayan said the lockdown has pushed the hospitality, tourism and entertainment sectors into crisis. He mentioned that lockdown will make employers go for automation instead of using manpower. Compared to higher and middle classes, lower strata of the society are more hit with the lockdown, he analysed.
