The Odisha government on Thursday took a decision of extending the lockdown till April 30 due to rise in coronavirus cases. It is the first state in India to extend the lockdown till April 30. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced that schools will be shut till June 17th. He recommended to the Central government to extend the lockdown in other states also. Floor leaders of various political parties in an all-party meet held through video-conference on Wednesday have urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend the lockdown across the country.
