Centre considering to extend lockdown after 14: Union Minister Kishan Reddy
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy on Wednesday said the Central government is considering the option to extend the lockdown after April 14. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking opinions from intellectuals for extending the lockdown, he stated. Meanwhile, several states are in favour of extending the lockdown for a few more weeks. The Central government has asked the states to ensure stocks of essential commodities are available with them for some more weeks. Centre reportedly has taken a decision on the extension of lockdown as Covid-19 cases have crossed 5,000 in India.
