WHO says Masks are not 'Silver Bullet' to stop Coronavirus
GENEVA: World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus asserted that masks alone can't stop the Coronavirus pandemic and added that the shortage of masks putting the health workers in danger. According to the sources, WHO director-general said that the medical masks should be used by doctors, people who are sick and their family members only. He also added that some countries recommended non-medical masks for citizens and added that masks only cannot stop the COVID-19 pandemic. WHO director added that masks are not a silver bullet to stop the Coronavirus pandemic. He added that "There is no black or white answer and no silver bullet. He asserted that the medical masks are must for healthcare professionals who are on the frontline to fight against the Coronavirus.
