Corona impact: Ex-TANA chief Jampala Chowdary about H-1B visa holders in USA
Former TANA chief Jampala Chowdary said that techies from India and Telugu states in the USA are working from home. He stated Telugus, who are running businesses, and small-time employees are facing difficulties due to the outbreak of coronavirus. He mentioned that the availability of jobs in the IT sector will become less because of economic recession. He said that there is uncertainty as to what H-1B visa holders have to do if they lose jobs. To a question, Jampala Chowdary said that US President Donald Trump did not take the Covid-19 outbreak very seriously. However, Trump took serious measures after the Task Force on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response convinced him, he added.
