Fight against Covid-19: World Bank extends 100 crore dollars to India
The World Bank has extended 100 crore dollars emergency funding to India to fight against the Covid-19 outbreak. The fund will be used for taking measures to identify contacts, screening virus infected persons, to improve the capacity of virology labs, purchasing of PPEs and setting up new isolation wards. The World Bank has agreed to extend 190 crore dollars for 25 countries battling coronavirus in which 100 crore dollars were allocated to India. Officials of the World Bak said that they will allocate 200 millions dollars to Pakistan and 100 million dollars to Afghanistan.
