'Shoot them dead': extreme Covid-19 lockdown policing around the world
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered to shoot the lockdown violators if they do not co-operate the guidelines of the government on Covid-19 cases. He has warned the violators and permitted the country's police and military to shoot dead anyone who violates the rules during a month-long lockdown period. Philippine President's warning came after residents of a slum in Manila's Quezon City launched a protest alleging that they are struggling for food and other essentials. In Kenya, teargas and batons are used to disperse the violators.
