‘India has tremendous capacity to combat COVID-19’: WHO Executive Director

WHO Executive Director Dr. Michael J Ryan said India has a tremendous capacity to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. In a press meet, Ryan said India has its experience of eradicating two major pandemics in the country i.e, smallpox and silent killer polio. He said India led the World to eradicate these two major health hazards. He wished to see that India continues to take aggressive action at the public health level to contain, control, suppress this disease. India should show the way to the world as they have done before, WHO executive director added.
