The Andhra Pradesh government led by CM YS Jagan seems to be contemplating abolishing the Legislative Council. Reportedly, the ruling YSRCP has been trying all the political foul means to see that decentralization and CRDA repeal Bill makes its way in the upper house. On the other hand, the main opposition TDP has been putting all its political strategies to see that the said Bills may not be passed in the state legislative council. However, the process seems to be complicated if the said Bills are moved to select committee. It is learned that YSRCP has been allegedly making plans with its political tactics to move a no confidence motion at Chairman of the Legislative council, if the ruling party finds ways to gain strength by encouraging defection.
