BJP working president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Monday officially took over the reins of the BJP from Amit Shah. He has become the 11th president of the Saffron party. JP Nadda was appointed as the party's working president in July last year with an indication that he is the likely choice for the top organizational job. His name was earlier proposed by the union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari, the party's ex-chiefs and parliamentary board members.
Union Minister Amit Shah and PM Modi have addressed on the occasion after felicitating JP Nadda in a new role.
