The 16-member high-power committee, which was set up to study the reports of the G.N. Rao-led committee and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) on the comprehensive development of the State, sees merit in decentralization plan. The meeting held at the RTC Complex in Vijayawada has focussed seriously on the issues of Amaravati farmers. After the meeting, AP Minister Perni Nani said the meeting witnessed a serious discussion on the developments in the Krishna, Guntur and the Prakasham districts. Perni Nani said the concerns of the real farmers of the Amaravati region will be taken into account. He said more clarity on this aspect will come out in the next meeting of the high power committee to be held on January 13.
