Ukrainian plane with 180 aboard crashed near Tehran airport in Iran
A Ukrainian aeroplane Boeing 737 with 180 passengers including crew on board crashed in Iran's capital Tehran on Wednesday due to technical problems soon after taking off from Imam Khomeini airport in Tehran. Rescue teams have been sent to an area near the airport. The crash came hours after Iran launched a ballistic missile attack targeting two bases in Iraq housing US forces in retaliation for the killing of Revolutionary Guard General Qassem Soleimani. The plane belongs to the Ukraine International Airlines.
