VISHAKAPATNAM: Tension prevailing in Vizagites after hearing the name of Alstonia Scholaris which causes severe seasonal health problems. After Hudhud cyclone, due to lack of awareness NGO's, civic authorities and individuals planted nearly 50,000 Alstonia Scholaris saplings across the city, which supposed to be planted in Medicinal parks only. Few senior officials are saying that though the trees are having medicinal benefits but should not be planted in public. The pollen of these trees causes many health hazards to the people.
