MLA Roja Reacts On Disha Act for Women Safety in AP
Andhra Pradesh cabinet on Wednesday cleared a bill which calls for completion of trial in 21 days and awarding death sentence in rape cases. The culprits who are involved in sexual offences against women and children, acid attack and harassment of women will be strictly punished. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced in the Assembly on Monday that the State government would make amendments to the AP Criminal Law Act so as to give harsh punishments for those who commit such heinous acts.
Roja in F2F interview with a media channel, stressed that despite Nirbhaya Act, many rape cases are being reported and the accused are happily coming out of the jail on bail.
