Central Govt Gives Clarification on 2nd Capital in South India - Tv9

The Central government has no plans to create a second capital in South India, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.

The Union Minister Nitya Nand Roy, while replying to a question of Congress Rajya Sabha MP KVP on whether the government has any proposal to create a second capital in South India, said, 'No' in a written format.

There was speculation earlier that Hyderabad city may be considered as the second capital of India. There was a lot of discussion and debate over the issue of second capital earlier.
