Andhra Pradesh State government announcing to implement the teaching of the English language as mandatory in government Schools has become the subject of dispute in state politics. Andhra Pradesh Transport and information minister Perni said from January month onwards, teachers with a master's degree in English will be asked to look after the teaching methodology in the government-run schools. AP Minister said that the Telugu language will remain there as a compulsory subject from Class first to Intermediate. He has questioned Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan asking his objection and termed him as Pawan Naidu. Jana Sena Chief has made it clear that they will not keep quiet if the Telugu language is ignored. Pawan Kalyan said even if one Telugu student remains in any government school in the state, he should be taught Telugu apart from other subjects.
