A team under the supervision of railway official Vijay Bhargav has successfully pulled out loco pilot Shekhar after 8 hours of the rescue operation. Shekhar was struck in driver’s cabin after MMTS train collided head-on with Intercity express on the outskirts of Kacheguda railway station. Vijay has explained that they started rescue operation after ensuring the loco pilot is safe. “We have removed back structure of driver’s cabin first,” he stated, adding that they rescued local pilot by removing beneath the structure of the driver's cabin.
