Telangana To Privatise 50% Buses, Striking Employees Get 3-Day Deadline - NDTv

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced the privatization of 50% of the state's bus services. The Chief Minister has set a three-day deadline for agitating employees to resume their duties. Telangana CM made the announcement after a five-hour-long meeting of the state cabinet at Pragati Bhavan. The chief minister had declared the strike was illegal and the same was informed to the court.
CM KCR said that the government will be giving permits to private bus operators to run 5100 buses.
It is well known that around 49,000 employees and workers unions of TSRTC had launched an indefinite strike from October 5 across Telangana, demanding RTC’s merger with the state government and asking for recruitment to various posts, among others.
