We have heard about Tomato festival and beer festival but have you ever heard of villagers throwing cow dung at each other? Here we go. After Deepavali, the villagers of Erode district, Tamilnadu collects cow dung and throw at each other. Around three hundred years ago, a Shivalingam was extracted from cow dung. So, from then, the ritual has been practiced by the villagers. All the villagers participate in the event and throw cow dung at each other with much fun and joy.
