Responding to comments made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in a press meet, Prof K Nageshwar said that a wrong message went to the society that the courts cannot interfere in the functioning of the governments. He stated that the Indian Constitution gave power to courts to issue orders to governments. Nageshwar quoted that British PM Boris Johnson had suspended the Parliament but the Supreme Court did not allow him to do so. He mentioned that India will become like Pakistan if governments did not follow court orders.
