Eight gates of Sriram Sagar project lifted due to heavy inflow - Tv9

The Sriram Sagar project water in Nizamabad district has touched the total capacity i.e 1091 feet after a gap of three years. The officials alerted the people downstream against venturing into the river. Eight gates of Sriram Sagar has been lifted due to heavy inflows of about 45,000 cusecs from the upstream. Around 25,000 cusecs of water are being released to downstream i.e to the Godavari river. Around 5,000 cusecs of water are being released by the Kakatiya reservoir. People have flocked near the project to see the water flow.
