A new twist has surfaced in the Lalitha Jewellery robbery incident that took place in Chennai. Turuvarur Murugun, a key accused in the robbery case has surrendered before a Bengaluru court in a dramatic manner. Police have seized approximately 10 kgs of Gold. But the Karnataka and Tamil Nadu Police have been running after to claim that the Gold belongs to their states. Tamil Nadu Police claimed that the Gold is from Lalitha Jewellery theft case, whereas Karnataka Police have rejected the claim of Tamil Nadu Police. Though Tamil Nadu police said that the Gold has the mark of Lalitha Jewellery, the Karnataka Police are not in a position to listen to that. This has led to the Gold war between the two states.
