The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Centre asking it to respond to 14 petitions on scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. The Supreme Court has referred the matter to a five-judge Constitution bench and it will hear all pleas related to the scrapping of Article 370 in the first week of October. The apex court has declined the request of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and Attorney General KK Venugopal, who has argued against the issuing of notice to the Center.
