Indian Banks are likely to eliminate Debit cards in the coming years. India is reportedly planning to be recognized as a debit card-less country. The chairman of SBI Rajnish Kumar has wished to eliminate the debit cards and expressed confidence that all other banking sectors will eliminate them in the coming days. The banks have been planning to promote more digital payment solutions and eliminate the plastic cards. The State Bank of India has introduced a facility in which the banking customers can withdraw cash from an ATM without using SBI debit card. And that’s called YONO cash.
