Japan cautions AP govt against reviewing of PPAs

The Consulate General of Japan in Chennai has written letters to the AP and Central governments expressing concern over the reworking of PPAs. In the letter, he said the move by the State government will have an impact on investments in India and also in AP. Japanese companies have invested in the energy sector during Chandrababu government’s tenure. The Jagan government is alleging that the PPAs were done for higher rate causing loss to the exchequer of the AP government. The newly formed justified reviewing of PPAs.
