Cricketer Venugopal Rao Announces Retirement From All Forms

Indian cricketer Venugopal Rao has announced retirement from all forms. Y. Venugopala Rao, the former captain of Andhra Ranji team, has represented India in 16 ODIs, and 65 IPL matches. The 37-year-old from Visakhapatnam has played his last ODI against West Indies at Basseterre on May 23, 2006. He made his debut against Sri Lanka at Dambulla on July 30, 2005. As far as his career statistics are concerned, Venugopal Rao has played 121 first-class matches and scored 7,081 runs. He slammed 17 hundred and 30 fifties to his credit.
