World Bank 'Drops' From Chandrababu's Ambitious Amaravati Project - ABN

The World Bank that took cognizance of the gross violations involved in the Amaravati Capital City project that threatened the livelihood of people and fragile environment, has reportedly pulled out Rs 2100 crores lendings to the Amaravati Capital City project in Andhra Pradesh. The project was criticized earlier as many e-mails were sent by the farmers to the World Bank in the form of complaints that their lands were confiscated by the government. However, the World Bank officials have verified the fact visiting Amaravati and found the complaints as baseless and fake. Now, the recent news is that World Bank has reportedly dropped sanctioning funds. Watch the video for more insight.
