Senior journalist Kommineni Srinivasa Rao said TDP leader Kodela Siva Prasada Rao had earned the reputation of a good politician in the past as he used to perform surgeries while discharging duties as an MLA or Minister. However, when he was elected as an MLA from Sattenapalli in 2014 and became Assembly Speaker, Kodela’s son Sivaram and daughter Vijayalakshmi had collected tax in the name of Kodela in Narasaraopet and Sattenapalli Assembly constituencies, he stated. Kommineni slammed the then Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for not taking action against Kodela’s children.
