AP Hindi Academy Chairman Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad praised Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for agreeing to issue a GO making Telugu as a compulsory subject from first to tenth classes in all schools. Speaking to the media after meeting the Chief Minister, Lakshmi Prasad alleged that Chandrababu government had failed to implement Telugu as a compulsory subject despite submitting representations on several occasions. He slammed former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for neglecting Telugu language in order to protect the interests of Narayana and Chaitanya educational institutions.
