Construction of world’s largest cricket stadium underway in Ahmedabad

The construction of the world’s largest cricket stadium is underway at Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The stadium can host more than one lakh people. The stadium is even larger than the stadium of Melbourne. The stadium will cost around Rs 700 crore and is spread in 63 acres. Currently, in India, the largest cricket ground is Eden Gardens in Kolkata which can accommodate more than 66,000 people. Gujarat Cricket Association is constructing the cricket stadium. The stadium will have parking facility for 3,000 four wheelers and 10,000 bikes.
