Farmer dies on seeing his Pethai Cyclone-affected crop in Srikakulam

A 73-year-old farmer, Gottipalli Chinnodu, had a heart attack and collapsed in his farm, as he was shocked to see his entire crop drenched in rain water. The farm was waterlogged after heavy rains due to Pethai Cyclone yesterday. The incident took place at Kosamala of Melliapattu mandal in Srikakulam district. Chinnodu tried to remove the excess water from his farm with the help of a spade, when he collapsed. Locals informed the authorities about the incident. They promised to support the farmer's family.
