Amidst speculation that former joint director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Lakshminarayana, will take over Lok Satta Party from its founder president, Jayaprakash Narayana, the latter addressed a meeting in Hyderabad. Referring to the high levels of corruption in the society, including political leaders and officials, Jayaprakash said that 'power corrupts,' so it should be handled with care. Use power for the benefit of the people, in transforming the society by wiping out corruption, rather than indulge in such practices, he told his audience. Lakshminarayana was also present.
