Sun, Nov 18, 2018, 07:35 AM
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Saturday seized 1,000 kg of dressed meat from platform number 5 of Egmore railway station in Chennai. The dressed meat is suspected to be ‘dog meat’ and it was unloaded from a Jodhpur Express bogie in the morning. The RPF will send samples of the meat to the Veterinary College on November 19 for analysis. Officials feel strongly that it is ‘dog meat’ that has been seized, they are awaiting confirmation to take further action.
