Majlis Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (MIM), whose base is Hyderabad and Telangana, is contesting only from eight places. This is because, they are in a friendly alliance with Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Even TRS has fielded weak candidates in places where MIM is contesting. In Nizamabad and Jubilee Hills, where MIM was no. 2 in the last Assembly election, it has not put up any candidate, in order to let TRS win. If the vote splits between TRS and MIM, it will benefit the Congress.
