The Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh has withdrawn the general consent accorded to the Central Bureau of Investigation to conduct raids and carry out investigations in the state. The state government has even issued a G.O on this aspect. Reacting over this unprecedented move by the ruling TDP, the former AP Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao has presented two main facts on this move. He has alleged that the state government has been fearing on the present political scenario in the state and it has been unnecessarily over reacting on it. He has also mentioned that if any legal flaws are there in Delhi Police Establishment Act, it can be amended and in that case putting check to CBI will turn irrelevant.
