Fri, Nov 16, 2018, 08:28 PM
Andhra Pradesh (AP) government has revoked a G.O. that gives consent to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to enter the state at its will and conduct inquiry. Through this step, the CBI cannot enter AP whenever it chooses. This is a valid step, legally permissible and which might make other states to follow suit. Now for the reasons why Chandrababu did this is to curb the Centre from using the CBI as a tool 'to whip' the states. This is being seen as unprecedented in India.
