Two cubs of Tigress Avni that was killed two weeks ago, were spotted by forest officials, at Wadgaon Road, at the edge of the forest area of Yavatmal district in Maharashtra. They were said to be safe and healthy. The tigress, named as T1, was shot dead by sharp shooters two weeks ago, allegedly at the behest of authorities, following reports that she killed 13 people in the past two years in Maharashtra. However, controversy arose after it was learnt that the tigress was shot dead without the use of any tranquiliser or the presence of any wildlife veterinarian.
