New CBI boss begins raiding officers' chambers - HMTv

New Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) interim chief, Mannem Nageswara Rao began his job with full earnest by seizing the chambers of the sacked CBI director, Alok Verma and his deputy, Rakesh Asthana, and conducting raids. The decision to remove Alok Verma and appoint Joint Director, Mannem as interim chief has been taken late last night. The reports of the searches will not be revealed to media, but directly to Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). Meanwhile, CVC has appointed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into the charges against the two accused heads of CBI.
