Farmers' protest turns violent on Delhi border - Tv9

High tension prevailed at Ghaziabad, on the outskirts of New Delhi, where a huge farmers' rally, Kisan Kranthi Yatra, has been stopped by the Police. The rally had been take out by farmers, led by Bharat Kisan Union, demanding loan waiver and reduction in power charges. Farmers from Uttarakand, Uttar Pradesh (UP), Punjab and Haryana are taking part in the rally. Anticipating trouble, Police and para military forces have set up barricades at Ghaziabad and used water canons against thousands of protesting farmers, who arrived in tractors and private vehicles. Section 144 has been imposed in the capital region.
