The US is facing a shortage of doctors, which is pushing some American universities to offer medical student free tuition. By 2030, the US will have a shortage of doctors anywhere between 42,000 to 1.2 lakh, according to the American Association of Medical Colleges. To fill the shortage gap of physicians, the University of California Riverside has scrapped the tuition fees. Even, the New York University School of Medicine too waived off tuition fees. Any student joining medicine course in both varsities will save 2 lakh dollars.
