The three-judge Bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra of the Supreme Court on Thursday has refused to refer Ayodhya-linked case to the 5-judge bench for reconsideration the remarks made as part of the 1994 judgment that 'mosque is not integral to Islam'. It has declined plea to refer the Ismail Farooqui judgment to the larger bench. This means that the politically-charged Ayodhya temple-mosque dispute case can be taken up and the Apex Court has fixed the Ayodhya matter for hearing on October 29.
