Spurred by the protest by local MP, J.C.Diwakar Reddy, Andhra Pradesh (AP) police swooped on Prabhodananda Swamy Ashram at Chimadimela of Tadipatri and are evicting the thousands of followers of the swamiji in buses. The scene is set for even the arrest of the swamiji. Amidst high drama since early this morning, police higher ups and Revenue officials entered the ashram and tried to talk to those inside to move out. Tear gas shells were kept ready to force eviction if necessary. Finally they relented and they are moving out it is learnt. The police action came after a spate of violent incidents since Saturday, in which two persons died.
