Fire broke out last night in the 200-year-old national museum at Rio de Janerio in Brazil. The fire lighted up the night sky and sent out huge plumes of smoke into the air. Firefighters were rushed to the spot, to put out the flames. The cause for the fire was not known immediately. However, there are no casaulties or burns as the fire started after the museum closed for the day, official sources reported. According to an official website, the collections include artefacts from Egypt, Greco-Roman art and some of the first fossils found in Brazil.
