Surgeons from Hyderabad and Vijayawada jointly struggled for nearly 12 hours and successfully reconstructed the face of a shepherd, who was attacked by a bear. The lengthy surgery took place at Amma Hospitals in Hyderabad. The patient Lingaiah of Matkadibbalapalli thanda of Chengampet mandal in Nalgonda district was attacked by a bear while he was taking his sheep for grazing. It gored his face badly, making his eyes to pop out. Six doctors performed three surgeries and reconstructed his faced to near perfection.
