A 46-year old British woman, Kay Longstaff, survived 10 hours in the Adriatic sea after falling from a Norwegian Star cruise ship near the coast of Croatia. She was roughly 60 miles from the Croatian coast. Croatia’s Coast Guard launched an air and sea search. 10 hours later, she sat smiling with her rescuers. They noted her physical fitness as a contributing factor to what they called a miraculous survival. When she was in the water, she sang songs to keep herself awake.
