Prof Nageswar: Big Corporates Enjoying People's Money In Banks

Speaking about the present banking system in the country, Prof K Nageswar reminded about the reasons for Nationalising the banks instead of running private banks. He said, govts encouraged Nationalisation of banks from 1969 to 1991 but from 91 onwards the Indian banking system is moving towards a new trend of denationalisation. He said, it is surprising to know about the variation in non profitable assets worth Rs 2 lakh crores of 2014 to the present NPA of above Rs 10 lakh crores pending from big corporates who are enjoying with people's money.
