For the past two days, Khammam district in Telangana has been witnessing heavy rainfall. Due to incessant downpour, all the water bodies have been filled up and it led to the release of mud flood water. All the irrigation projects of the district have been filled up with water. One of the important projects i.e Vyra project has been completely filled up for the first time in almost 10 years. Low lying areas have been alerted. Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh will continue to receive heavy rains in the coming days.
