The mortal remains of former prime minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who passed away this evening, were laid to rest at his residence at 6, Krishna Menon Marg. Chiefs of the Armed Forces placed the tricolour over the casket, and paid their respects. The members of Vajpayee's family, leaders and politicians are paying homage to him, one by one. The body will taken to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters tomorrow at 11.30 a.m. and will be placed for party leaders and workers to pay respects. The last journey of the stalwart leader will begin at 1.30 p.m. and funeral will be held later in the evening.
