Sat, Aug 11, 2018, 03:35 PM
Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu has deleted some of the remarks of Prime Minister Narendra Modi while referring to the opposition's candidate B K Hariprasad for the post of Rajya Sabha deputy chairman after they were found to be objectionable during the felicitation of the newly-elected Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh in the House. Following the protests made by some Rajya Sabha members, Rajya Sabha Chairman on Friday expunged certain remarks made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In 2013 also, some words have been removed from the record during a sharp exchange in Parliament between then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Arun Jaitley.
