At least 27 people died and tourists were found strandered, even as unprecedented rains continued to pound Kerala. As many as 241 relief camps have been opened and 15,695 people have been shifted from low-lying areas. Some 69 tourists, including 20 foreigners, are stranded at a private resort in the popular tea county of Munnar in Kerala's Idukki district. The roads leading to the resort are blocked due to landslides. The Army has been called in to help the tourists get out of Plum Judy resort.
